First Glimpse of Indian Mixed Fighter JetsTaking Part In Red Flag Exercise In Alaska

Watch the first glimpse of Indian fighters crossing over to Alaska in a work up phase of the Red Flag exercise beginning 28th April 2016. Watch IL 78 surrounded by two Jaguars and Su-30s flanking IL 78. Red Flag will be primarily between US Air Force and Indian Air Force. But there is likely to be the elements of other air force like C-130 J of Denmark. IAF contingent includes 4 x Su-30MKI, 4 x Jaguar Darin II, 2 C-17 Globemaster III & 2 x Il-78M. The team has reached Alaska on April 16 and have been on routine practice runs at the base with USAF jets. You may also see a train running at the Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska. This is for the first time that mixed fighters are participating in the Red Flag exercise. In 2004 Cope Thunder Exercise only Jaguar fighters participated. Whereas, in 2006 Nellis Red Flag, only Su-30s took part. It will be interesting to see who will be winner out of the two air forces at the end of the exercise besides individual scores.
