Indian Army Dare Devils Set Two Guinness World Records
New Delhi, 09 September 2016,The DARE DEVILS teams of Corps
of Signals set new Guinness World Records on 09 September 2016 at Robert Track
ground, 1 Signal Training Centre, Jabalpur.
The extraordinary feat was performed in front of civil and military
dignitaries which included Justices of Madhya Pradesh High Court, Major General
Dharam Vir Singh Rana, Officiating
General Officer Commanding, Madhya Bharat Area.
Two world records were broken and made by the Indian Army
DARE DEVILS team of Corps of Signals as per stipulations of GUINNESS Book of
Records, LIMCA Book of Records, ASIA Book of Records and INDIA Book of Records
and would be proposed to be published in the next editions of respective books.
The World Record for “Longest continuous ride standing on
the seat of a motor cycle” was broken by Capt Manpreet Singh (Team Captain
“Dare Devils”) and covering distance of 75.2 Km in 02 hrs 24 min and 12 secs on 09 Sep 16. The
previous World Record of 32.3 km which
was achieved by Ratnesh Pandey (India), in Indore on 05 Dec 2015.
The World Record for “Handle Bar Riding on a Motorcycle”
under fresh category was broken by Local Havildar Sandeep Kumar, covering a distance of 46.9 Km in 01 hr 27
min and 31 secs on 09 Sep 2016.
