Defence Minister Arun Jaitley says that Indian Armed Forces are dominating the Line of Control and CRPF and J&K Police within the Kashmir. Jaitley was responding to a question on a photograph evidence of new batch of terrorists trained in Hizbul Mujahideen camp in Pakistan occupied Kashmir leaked.
"I don't want to get into the details of what the strategic approach is, but I can tell you that in past few weeks our armed forces that's the Indian Army and the BSF are dominating the line of control within quashed the insurgents irrespective of whether they are foreign insurgents or domestic terrorists, the security forces have been able to build up a lot of pressure on them. And the result, some of them are evident to you almost on a daily basis".
"The Government of India has taken significant step to ease the situation in the past. The fact that during the swaring in of the Government, SAARC neighbours were invited, Pakistan's Prime Minister was invited, the fact that our Prime Minister dropped in at Lahore in social function in Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's family, were all steps intended to easen the tension. But each one of these were responded by legacy of Pathankot or Uri or mutilation of the body of two of our soldiers. And therefore, that environment which must exist for a talk has been successfully prevented by Pakistan"
"The situation in Kashmir is much normal than what impression you get here. We have been there for three days for GST meeting. In some areas in South Kashmir, the situation was challenging but except that the situation was normal in other areas like Srinagar. Our Security Forces including CRPF and local police has been maintaining dominance to a great extent".
